Over the last 2 weeks, I’ve been unable to use my studio as repairs to a damaged ceiling have been going on. That’s why you haven’t seen much new art posted! (I hope to move back in, in a day or so.)

But having no studio has been a blessing for getting to OTHER work. Like…

Setting Up a New Etsy Shop

I was contacted by a blog friend about whether I’d be making the Mini Vacations pieces available on-line for sale. I was so busy making the pieces for my first local show that I hadn’t thought about how I might offer them to everyone. But thanks to no studio, I’ve had time to figure it out and I’ve set up an Etsy Store for the mini originals called ArtWeWonderful.  You can also access my Etsy store any time by going to my SHOP tab – select Mini Vacations Originals Shop, click on any image and you’ll be taken directly to its own Etsy page. They are shipped to you already matted and ready to frame. I’ll be adding more new pieces to the shop as they’re finished.

Creating New SHOP and GALLERY Sections

I’ve made some changes to how you can access the pieces I have for sale – all pieces are now under the SHOP tab. , arranged by the Mini Vacations pieces on Etsy, and by other original pieces I make in Ink and/or Watercolour. The latter pieces are available from me directly, as I’ve shut down my other on-line stores. Again, please take a look around my new SHOP pages. Requests for commissions are still found at MAKING ART JUST FOR YOU tab.

I’ve also arranged most of the art I’ve created over the last few years in a new GALLERY section. I’ve got headings for the types of art I’ve made, including sketchbooks. Putting this section together was a revelation to me – I had no awareness of how much art I’ve made! Yikes, I’ve been busy! Come browse around!

Applying to Local Art Fairs and Shows

Spring and summer art shows are taking applications, and since I now have enough art to fill a small tent, I’ve started applying. And this week, I’ve been accepted to a big juried 3-day show in May!

It’s amazing how getting all this work done has given me a sense of renewal, just in time for spring! It feels like a new chapter is starting,and I’m anxious to get back to drawing and painting.
