I finished my second mini Artist Trading Card a few days ago, and decided to choose a simpler subject thinking it would be easier to do. Uh… no.
A doorway with some flowers and plants around it – very doable, right? Flower and plants that are teensy-weensy are not eazy-peazy. It took me the same amount of time as the first Burano card. Ha!
I’ve been told that I should bring a minimum of 12 cards to the event I’m attending in under 2 weeks. Not unlike the Sketchbook Project I did this past March, this has all the makings of being a mad dash to the finish line!
Head down, tunes on, big pot of tea, and getting back to work!
What helps you get your work done for a tight deadline?
Beautiful work! 👍🏼 Specially flowers and wall texture are just awesome!
Thanks, Snehal!
So many lovely details on such a small scale!
It’s been a bit of a puzzle trying to figure out how to paint some of the smaller details. Sometimes my solutions works, other times not so much. But fun nonetheless! Thanks for your comment!
I love this idea…very personal business or calling cards!
I agree, Janina. I’m looking forward to being introduced to a new group of artists via their cards at the event next week.
And, of course, they would make ideal miniatures, framed, for exhibition!
An idea I may explore further next year!
