Simpler Isn’t Always Easier

I finished my second mini Artist Trading Card a few days ago, and decided to choose a simpler subject thinking it would be easier to do. Uh… no.

A doorway with some flowers and plants around it – very doable, right? Flower and plants that are teensy-weensy are not eazy-peazy. It took me the same amount of time as the first Burano card. Ha!

I’ve been told that I should bring a minimum of 12 cards to the event I’m attending in under 2 weeks. Not unlike the Sketchbook Project I did this past March, this has all the makings of being a mad dash to the finish line!

Head down, tunes on, big pot of tea, and getting back to work!

What helps you get your work done for a tight deadline?

In studio #mondaymorning - At the start of a new week, it motivates me to look at where I’ve started and where I’ve come to. The end always seems closer! It helps me to #dothework. My progress on simultaneously painting 6 new miniatures 🤹‍♀️ - swipe to see The Start. (Each piece 2.5”x3.5”)
