After a long train ride to Calabria and a short taxi ride, I arrived in the small coastal town of Pizzo. The apartment rental was fantastic, with amazing views and I was ready to sketch to my heart’s content. Then I got felled by a virus that made every part of me ache!
But I needed to draw, to capture some part of this gorgeous village. So I dragged my bones up the staircase to the roof terrace of the apartment, and sketched and painted the view. There are some crazy lines in this drawing, that I was going to correct later, but thought “nah” – that these wonky lines will remind me of my feverish attempt at art-making! Ha ha!
