A Sketch from Florence

I didn’t get in as much sketching as I wanted in Florence, but I did spend a wonderful afternoon in the garden of Palazzo Vivarelli Colonna. I understand that it’s only open a few days a week, so I was lucky to be in town on the right day.

Sketched the fountain and then the rain came down in torrents. Luckily I got a photo in before the deluge, and painted the drawing on the dry terrace of my B&B.
