Go all the way with it. Do not back off. For once, go all the goddamn way with what matters. – Ernest Hemingway
Five years ago this week, I started a post with this quote. It was the week that I had decided to pursue my art full-time. And five years later, I’m still at it, still attempting every day to go all the goddamn way with what matters, with what I love to do.
It would have been a very hard struggle if all of you hadn’t been along for the journey. So thank you for following this blog! I’ve appreciated you spending time reading my posts, and then sharing your feedback, comments and stories. It’s been a great joy to see this community turn out when I post a new piece or tell a story. It gives me so much energy and purpose to keep on painting!
Thank you too to those of you who have some of my art in your homes or who gifted it to others! It’s hard to express how rewarding it is to have my art find new homes. When I started, I didn’t expect to be as moved by this part of the career, but it chokes me up every time someone chooses a piece.
Here comes the next 5, 10, 20 (?) years! Love to you all!
Congratulations Marion and at least 20 + more. All the best. Hugs
Hopefully my body and eyesight will hold up! Lol Thanks, Rose! ❤️
Congratulations on going all the way!! Well done.
😆 Thanks so much, Darlene!
