Printing Experiments

Celebrate Printed acrylics, stencils on paper

A piece of Celebrate

After watching a Gelli Arts video, I rushed out to buy their Gel Printing Plate and started experimenting. This is just too much fun, especially that little thrill of excitement that runs up my spine as I peel back the paper from the plate to see the wonders beneath!

I’ve spent the last few weeks experimenting with this printing plate and acrylic paint techniques – using stencils, Catalyst tools, Distress Stains, stamps, and modelling paste. I also tried out the plate to make some holiday cards.

Photographing these prints for this post was another joy as I could manipulate the cropping and exposures to discover different aspects of these prints (as above). This is really addictive stuff! Click on each picture to get a slightly larger view, if something grabs you!
