Introducing Sketchy Memories

SketchyMems Genweb

I’ve been turning travel photos from friends and family into original art and cards for a few years, and I’ve been repeatedly encouraged to offer this service to “the world”. And so I’ve decided to take their good counsel and make these commissioned pieces available for you, with something I call SKETCHY MEMORIES.

How does this work?

  1. You send me some photo options, preferred drawing size of 5×7, 8×10 or 11×14, and a bit about the memories of each photo.
  2. Then I’ll email you back with my suggestions, an estimated completion date, and a Paypal link for a 50% deposit. You make the deposit and I start to work.
  3. Once I’m done, I’ll email you a low-res scan of the completed piece and a link for the remaining 50% and shipping. You make the payment, and I’ll ship the original to you.

All the detailed information starts here or is on the “Making Art Just For You” page link at the top right of your screen.

I really enjoy making these pieces and learning about why they are important to you. Here are a few recent ones. This first trip to Paris photo always produces a giggle from my client because it looks like she’s wearing an Eiffel Tower hat. And a photo memory from Barcelona that demonstrates the restorative effects and fun of a sabbatical in Spain.

So, don’t develop a sketchy memory about your last vacation and all those filed photos… instead turn them into this type of Sketchy Memory!
